WHEREAS, pursuant to Texas Government Code Section 418.108, Cameron County Judge Eddie Trevino, Jr., declared a state of local disaster on March 16, 2020, due to the imminent threat arising from COVID-19; and

Effective August 31, 2020, Cameron County Judge Eddie Trevino, Jr. and the Cameron County Health Authority Dr. James Castillo issue the First Amended Joint Cameron County Health Authority and Cameron County Judge Emergency Health Control Order Delaying In-Person Face-to-Face Public and Private School
WHEREAS, the Cameron County Judge and Cameron County Health Authority have consulted with the Mayors and Superintendents, including independent schools' leadership of each city within Cameron County; and
