21 Mar: Cameron County Confirms SECOND Travel-Related COVID-19 Case
Cameron County Public Health has received confirmation of the second travel-related case of COVID-19. An 81-year old male from Harlingen tested positive after traveling to Florida. On March 19, the patient was tested due to symptoms of cough, congestion, and fever. Cameron County Public Health received laboratory confirmation March 20. The individual is currently under home isolation. This individual is not linked to the first travel-related case.

20 Mar: Second Supplemental Order and Recommendation
In conjunction with the National Emergency Declaration issued by President Trump and Governor Abbott's Declaration of Disaster of March 13, 2020, and out of an abundance of caution to limit or reduce the spread of COVID-19 to Cameron County, I hereby issue the following Second Supplemental Emergency Management Order & Recommendation in my capacity as Cameron County Judge with the advice and consent of Commissioners Court:

20 Mar: Cameron County’s Second Supplemental Emergency Management Orders & Recommendations
Effective today March 20, 2020, Cameron County Judge Eddie Trevino, Jr. has ordered and recommended requirements for occupancy of premises and travel restrictions/ movement of people. The second supplemental emergency management order is established on behalf of all of Cameron County and in accordance and conjunction with the National Emergency Declaration issued by President Trump and Governor Abbott's Declaration of Disaster of March 13, 2020 and subsequent orders.

19 Mar: Cameron County Confirms First Travel-Related COVID-19 Case
Cameron County Public Health has received confirmation of the first travel-related case of COVID-19. A 21-year old male from Rancho Viejo tested positive after traveling to Ireland and Spain between March 5 – March 12. On March 18, the patient presented himself at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen with symptoms of fever and cough where he was tested. Cameron County Public Health received laboratory confirmation today, March 19.

19 Mar: County Clerk – Covid-19
Please be advised that in order to reduce the spread of COVID-19 the Cameron County Clerk's Office will be limiting public facing services by requiring use of various remote access services in order to protect the public and employees from potential exposure to the virus.

18 Mar: Bridge Operations are to Remain the Same
Effective 7:00 PM today, March I 6, 2020, Cameron County Judge Eddie Trevino, Jr. has ordered the closure of County Parks and County beach access areas. The following parks and beach access areas will be closed to the public until further notice.

23 Sep: Order Closing State Hwy 4; September 27, 2020
Under the authority granted to Cameron County pursuant to Texas Natural Resources Code Section 61.132 which permits the Texas General Land Office ("GLO") and the County to enter into a memorandum of agreement under the terms of which Boca Chica Beach may be closed temporarily for space launches and in conformity with the Memorandum of Agreement, contract number 2013C08253/GLO contract number 13-447-000-7916 between the County and the GLO that delineates the circumstances under which the County is authorized to close the beach and beach access points for the limited purpose of protecting Public Health and Safety during spaceflight activities and the Texas Department of Transportation authorized a Space X Roadway Closure Traffic Control Plan to perform road closures on State Highway 4;
