The individuals were a 86-year old female from Harlingen, a 56-year old female from San Benito, and 70-year old, 71-year old, and 83-year old males from San Benito. In addition, there was a 62-year old female, a 62-year old female, 65-year old female, as well as a 27-year old male, 75-year old male, and 80-year old male from Brownsville. This raises the number of COVID-19 related deaths in Cameron County to 137. Cameron County has also received confirmation of an additional 334 laboratory reports of COVID-19. Cameron County has received confirmation of fifteen additional COVID-19 related deaths of Cameron County Residents. The individuals were a 48-year old female from Harlingen, a 57-year old female from Olmito, and a 60-year old, 71-year old, 72-year old, 77-year old and 84-year old females from Brownsville. In addition, there was 50-year old, 60-year old, 64-year old, 67-year old, 71-year old, 72-year old, 80-year old and 90-year old males from Brownsville. These individuals all passed away at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville. This raises the number of COVID-19 related deaths in Cameron County to 126. Today, Cameron County Judge Eddie Trevino, Jr., had a video conference meeting with Governor Greg Abbott and an in-person meeting with Governor Abbott's Chief of Staff, Luis Saenz, Chief of the Texas Division of Emergency Management, Nim Kidd, local and state leaders, along with Cameron County Hospital Administrators to discuss local needs and current COVID-19 status in Cameron County.

Cameron County has received confirmation of fifteen additional COVID-19 related deaths of Cameron County Residents. The individuals were a 59-year old, 71-year old, and 90-year old females from San Benito, 60-year old female from Harlingen, 81-year old female from Combes, 81-year old female from Harlingen, and 86-year old female from La Feria. In addition, there was a 41-year old, 55-year old, 63-year old, 67-year old, 78-year old, and 83-year old males from Harlingen, a 68-year old male from Primera, and 81-year old male from San Benito. These individuals all passed away at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen. This raises the number of COVID-19 related deaths in Cameron County to 111. Today, June 26, 2020, the Office of Cameron County Judge Eddie Trevino, Jr., has been notified that three (3) employees from the County Clerk's Office, one (1) employee from the District Clerk's Office, one (1) employee from the Auditor's Office, seven (7) employees from the Adult Probation Department, one (1) employee from the Sheriffs Office, one (I) employee from the Constable Precinct 3 Office, one (1)employee from the Constable Precinct 5 Office, one (1) employee from the Constable Precinct 1 Office, one (1) employee from the 138th District Court, one (I) employee from the Law Library, two (2) employees from the Public Health Department, one (I) employee from the Election's Department, three (3) employees from the Juvenile Department, one (I) employee from the Parks System, one (1) employee from the Bridge System, one (I) employee from Public Works Precinct 2, and one (I) employee from the Tax Assessor-Collector's Office have tested positive for COVID-19. 19 Jun: Tax Assessor Collector’s Office COVID-19 Press Release
BROWNSVILLE, TX: The Cameron County Tax Assessor-Collector’s Office has felt the spike of Coronavirus cases in Cameron County. The Tax Office was notified this week that six (6) employees from the Brownsville Main Office and one (1) employee from the Harlingen Branch Office tested positive for COVID-19. The employees immediately sought medical screenings at the onset of their symptoms. The Office is working closely with the Cameron County Health Department.

17 Jun: Two CCJJD Employee(s) Presumed Positive for COVID-19
SAN BENITO, TEXAS: The Cameron County Juvenile Justice Department (CCJJD) was notified by two (2) employees working at the Amador R. Rodriguez Juvenile Boot Camp & Educational Center that they may be positive for COVID-19. The employees are drill instructors at the juvenile boot camp and immediately sought medical screening after having symptoms related to COVID-19. Because of privacy laws, the department will not release specific details of the employees. CCJJD is working closely with the Cameron County Health Department and is awaiting official confirmation, however, treating both cases as presumed positive.
